Geoffrey Bell
Geoff Bell is CEO of Microbiogen, a world leading industrial bio-technology company, specialising in yeast, alcohol fermentation and development of novel process and products for the global fuel, feed and food industries. Through more than a decade leading the company, Geoff has taken the company from a small R+D start-up, over the “valley of death” to its current position of multiple global license agreements with first product “Innova Drive” now commercially available in the market. His holds two Bachelor Degrees from Sydney and Macquarie University, one in Science and the other in Economics and Finance. He also holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University. Geoff has over 20 years’ experience as a senior analyst in the global investment banks of BNP Paribas and Prudential Securities. Roles have also included Head of Asia Pacific Research, Head of Australian Research and Global Mining Analyst through his research and investment banking career. He has received a number of industry awards for insight and outstanding performance in his analytical work. Geoff regularly presents at international conferences and is also currently Australian leader of the IEA Task 42 program that considers Bio-refineries in a Circular Economy.
